Oil-based, water-based wear-resistant floor paint (simple thin-coating method)

    Oil-based and water-based methods

    〈Oil-based〉

    1. Remove all objects, dust, and loose material from existing RC or mortar surfaces and keep them dry. Apply at least two even thin coats of wear-resistant floor paint to the construction surface at 60-minute intervals.
    2. If colored floor paint is applied as a primer, dilute it with around 30%-40% toluene or xylene to facilitate film formation and bubble removal. If used as mid- or top-coat, add around 20-30% toluene or xylene.
    3. Apply evenly with a brush or roller (coating layer of less than 0.2mm).
    4. Sedimentation layers caused by product properties are a normal phenomenon. Stir thoroughly prior to use.
    5. Fill and level dents with fortified cement mortar and wait until completely dry before you apply the wear-resistant floor paint.
    6. Wear-resistant floor paint should not be applied in thick layers and drying times are extended by several days if construction areas are not properly ventilated.
    7. If coarse anti-slip surfaces are required, add 50%-100% quartz sand of an appropriate grain size. Don’t add the aggregate to the last coat of floor paint.
    8. Construction surfaces must be completely dry and constant rising moisture sources must be absent to prevent bubble formation.

    Water-based

    Method

    1. Remove old coating layers, dust, and loose material from the construction surface and keep it dry.
    2. Apply 1-2 even coats of oil-based primer curing agent or the floor paint diluted with water (1:3) as a primer.
    3. When the primer is completely dry, apply at least two even thin coats of water-based (anti-slip) floor paint at 60-minute intervals.

    Reminders

    1. All cavities should be leveled with reinforced cement mortar. Wait until fully dried before applying floor paint.
    2. To achieve wear and pressure resistance, 10kg of anti-slip, wear-resistant aggregate should be added to the floor paint (or 7kg to the anti-slip floor paint), stirred thoroughly and applied (one coat) with a trowel (maximum thickness of 2mm). The last layer of floor paint must not be mixed with anti-slip, wear-resistant aggregate.
    3. Upon completion, allow a curing period of 3 days prior to use. Laundry detergent may be utilized to remove dirt from the surface.
    4. Avoid use in high temperature, hot water and oily environments.
