Oil-based Water Repellent Agent P-071C
P-071C has been successfully developed by the Company after many years of research and imports from collaborating US companies. This long-lasting waterproofing and anti-permeability agent effectively mitigates tiled wall leakage and wet efflorescence caused by the high salinity and humidity in Taiwan.
【Properties】
- Upon application, the agent turns colorless, membrane-free, and transparent. It does not exhibit yellowing or change the appearance of the tiles.
- It is characterized by exceptional permeability. It easily penetrates construction surfaces, thereby generating superior water repellent effects.
- Long-lasting reactions and powerful bonding with the cement after penetration enhances cement strength.
【Uses】
Waterproofing and curing of tiled walls, exposed aggregate concrete walls, and brushed concrete walls.
【Methods】
- Remove accumulated efflorescence, moss, and fine dust from external walls. (Best results are achieved through utilization of a high-pressure cleaner and initiation of construction after a drying period of three days since a dust-like color is generated if dust remains on the tiled wall surface when the agent is applied through spraying.)
- Identify cracks and holes and fill and seal them with Acrylic Cement Enhancer P-077C.
- Upon drying of the filling and sealing material, apply 2-3 spray coats for penetration treatment of the whole surface at 30-minute intervals on the following day.
Note：If P-071C must be applied on the same day after filling and sealing of holes, Rapid-hardening Water-plugging Powder P-801 may be utilized as the filling material due to its short drying time of 2-5 minutes.
【Reminders】
- It must be ensured that no other waterproofing materials and coating materials have been applied to the construction surface (this may be determined by examining moisture absorption and permeation conditions through water repellent observations).
- If the filling and sealing material for pebble paving contains waterproofing powder/agent which is not mixed/distributed evenly, this product tends to be absorbed unevenly by the base material, which in turn leads to uneven color shading after coating film drying.
- Due to the fact that a small number of natural stone material components (e.g., Yunnan Black Stone) and most stone material repair putties (e.g., epoxy) tend to cause color changes or leave traces of repairs on the base material after application of this product, prior testing and observation of results is highly recommended.
- The higher the cement content of the construction surface base material, the better are the water repellent effects.
