Rust converter
【Description】
P-804 is applied to rusting metal surfaces. It can turn reddish rusted surface into a black iron oxide barrier layer within a few minutes (colors may vary from partial reddish rust depending on the metal components) and proceed with the subsequent coating application.
【Methods】
- Remove loose rusty flakes, then apply a coat of P-804 thinly. (For heavily rusted surface, it is recommended to apply 1-2 coats of P-804. Proceed to the subsequent system when it is touch dry.)
- P-804 is not easily dried on non-corrosive metal surfaces or coatings. Wipe it off with a dry cloth or consolidate with Plimates CurePrime MAX P-169C / Plimates CurePrime P-309C to facilitate subsequent topcoat.
- P-804 requires a drying time of 4-24 hours (drying time and color after reaction may vary depending on the metal components of the substrate).
- It is advised to proceed with the subsequent coating application within 24 hours when the surface is touch dry.

- Stir thoroughly before use and do not dilute with water.
- Store in cool dry conditions. Use within 3 months after opening.
- Use non-metallic material container to prevent chemical reactions.
- Tools and equipment used can be cleaned with clean water.
- Wear safety goggles, a mask, and protective gloves during application. Ensure adequate ventilation at all times. Avoid direct contact with the product and do not inhale vapors. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with clean water. Seek medical attention if necessary.
