Single-component, water based, elastic polyurethane membrane
【Description】
P-986C is water-based polyurethane (PU) featuring no bleeding issues, low tackiness, hydrolysis-resistant and high tensile strength. It also minimizes clumping when applies with a brush or roller.
【Properties】
- Water-based, non-toxic and can be applied over damp surfaces.
- No bleeding issues, low tackiness, and resistant to hydrolysis.
【Uses】
- Waterproofing projects for roofs, bathrooms, balconies etc.
- Reinforcement at leak-prone areas (craks, external corners, cold joints, drains).
【Methods】
- Remove all objects, dust, and loose material from the surface.
- Reinforce waterproofing protection at leak-prone areas (cracks, external corners, cold joints, and drains) by wet-on-wet application: Apply 2-3 coats of P-986C. Embed anti-cracking mesh when the first coating is still wet.
- For full coating, apply Plimates waterproof primer based on the surface on which the system is to be applied. (In case of any serious chalky condition on the surface, apply 1-2 coats of Plimates CurePrime P-309C. Ensure that the surface is completely dry before applying).
- Wait for the primer to dry, then mix P-986C with 0-10% water and apply 2-3 coats to the whole surface (the maximum recommended thickness per layer is 1mm). Each coat should be completely dry before proceeding with the subsequent layer.
【Reminders】
This product features great smoothness. Avoid excessive dilution with water during mixing.

Dark gray upon application but dries to black finish.
