Plimates AquaCR2 MAX
Single-component, water-based, anti-puncture chloroprene elastic waterproofing membrane
【Description】
AquaCR2 MAX is a water-based, single-component product. It is environmentally friendly and easy to apply. It offers membrane properties identical to polyurea materials.
【Properties】
- Insoluble in water and no oil bleeding. Can be applied over damp surfaces with rapid drying time.
- Anti-puncture, extreme resilience, high elongation with excellent recovery characteristics. No solvent odor.
【Uses】
- Waterproofing projects for roofs, areas surrounding window frames, balconies, atriums, planters etc.
- Suitable for reinforcement on cold joints, cracks, pipe edges and external corners before and after comprehensive waterproofing installation.
【Methods】
- Remove all objects, dust, and loose material from the surface.
- Reinforce waterproofing protection at leak-prone areas (cracks, external corners, cold joints, and drains): Apply 2-3 coats of AquaCR2 MAX.
- For full coating, apply Plimates waterproof primer based on the surface on which the system is to be applied. (Apply Plimates AquaPrime Cure P-012C if there is any serious chalky condition.) Wait for the primer to dry completely, then apply 2-3 coats of AquaCR2 MAX (the maximum recommended thickness per layer is 1mm). Each coat should be completely dry before proceeding with the subsequent layer (protective layers or topcoats).
【Reminders】
- Due to the exceptional elongation properties for the dried membrane, apply 1-2 coats of Plimates AquaPrime Cure P-012C for better result to avoid poor adhesion and blistering/bubbling.
- Put on ‘plastic bag’ or ‘wet socks’ while walking on the dried membrane surface to overcome after-tack.
- Due to the material's characteristics, a protective layer or Plimates Topcoat must be applied after the membrane has fully dried and cured.
