P-701 Water-based Waterproofing and Heat-insulating Finish Paint

This product is a waterproofing and heat-insulating material composed of acrylic resins with multiple effects including water, heat, and weather resistance. The white additive is a hollow ceramic powder which is characterized by a light texture and excellent heat insulation. This substance reduces the thermal conductivity for optimal thermal insulation effects (e.g., heat resistance treatment of asbestos sheeting, corrugated plastic sheets, sheet metal houses, and steel plates).

【Method】

I. Exclusive use for waterproofing, heat insulation, and curing projects for roofs and external walls:

  • Remove all objects, dust, and loose material.
  • Partially apply 3 coats to cracks or new/old seams. P-701 finish paint diluted with water at a ratio of 1: 1-2 may be utilized for the first coat and penetration treatment. Apply a coat of the undiluted P-701 paint when the previous layer has completely dried and attach a glass fiber mesh to achieve optimal crack resistance effects. Apply another coat of the undiluted paint when this layer has completely dried to enhance the waterproofing effects (note: allow a drying time of around 30 minutes for each coat).
  • Apply 2-3 coats of P-701 diluted by adding 0-10% water to the whole surface at around 30-minute intervals (the thickness of each layer should not exceed 0.5mm). (The first coat may be diluted with an adequate amount of water based on the surface texture to ensure penetration of pores and enhanced adhesiveness.)

II. When utilized as UV-resistant finish paint for water-based PU, elastic cement, or water-based rubberized asphalt:

On the day or days following completion of water-based PU, elastic cement, or water-based rubberized asphalt waterproofing treatment (make sure the surface is completely dry), apply at least 2 coats of P-701 diluted with 0-10% water at around 30-minute intervals.

【Reminders】

  • Apply multiple thin layers since single thick coats are prone to cracking.
  • The surface must be completely covered to prevent peeling off or bubble/bulge formation caused by seepage on the sides.
  • If verification and testing of waterproofing layers is required, a curing period of 7 days must be allowed to prevent bubble/bulge formation under uncured membranes.
  • If the product is utilized as roof finish paint, 50% No.9 silica sand may be added to the first coat to prevent soaking in low-lying areas, peeling off, or wrinkle formation.
